NCB Jodhpur Zonal Unit Seizes Heroin Along Indo-Pakistan Border in Rajasthan Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections 2024
Rajasthan: In light of the Forthcoming Lok Sabha Election - 2024, a dedicated team from the NCB has been stationed in the Sriganganagar General area to conduct surveillance and joint operations with the BSF along the Indo-Pakistan international border axis in Rajasthan.
On April 16, 2024, troops of the 140 Bn BSF made a significant recovering three packets suspected to contain heroin within the area of responsibility of Border Out post- Nemichand., Dist - Anupgarh, Rajasthan.
Subsequently, all seizing and other legal proceedings were carried out by a detailed team of NCB Jodhpur Zonal Unit, already stationed in Sriganganagar under the Supervision of Sh Ghanasyam Soni, IRS, Zonal Director, Jodhpur & Jaipur.
Seizure Details:
Net weight of seized Heroin: 02.616 kg
A case has been registered under NCB Cr no - 05/2024, dated - 17/04/2024, under sections 08/21/23 of the NDPS Act 1985.
Market Value: Approx 5.32 Crores
