Nail paint remover were being used to make drugs
Jodhpur: Narcotics Bureau of India (NCB) and ATS- Rajasthan have caught drug dealers who revealed that some got into the illegal drug trade while selling tea leaves whereas others were into the medical business.
These people were connected to the same chain and used to buy raw material for making MD from Vapi in Gujarat. Drugs would be prepared and sold in the market within a month. The chemical these people were using for this is used as nail polish and paint remover, which has potential to damage kidneys and liver. A person consuming this drug can also become blind or go into coma.
NCB Jaipur-Jodhpur’s Joint Director Ghanshyam Soni said that under ‘Operation Laboratory’, goods worth Rs 45 crore have been seized from a factory in Sirohi.
At the same time, the teams of Osian FSL and Gandhinagar FSL are investigating the goods seized from Osian in Jodhpur, after which the total amount will be revealed.
Raids have been conducted at many places in Gujarat in which a total of drugs worth Rs 300 crore have been seized so far. Jodhpur Rural SP Dharmendra Singh Yadav said one accused Jagdish Vishnoi from Osian is absconding and efforts are on to nab him.
