‘MIGHTY’ SHAH TO WITNESS BSF’S ‘MIGHT’ DURING RAISING DAY CELEBRATIONS IN JODHPUR TODAY

Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Jodhpur, a city located in the Thar Desert of northwest Rajasthan, late on Saturday and stayed overnight at the BSF Guest House. Amit Shah’s visit is centered around attending the Border Security Force (BSF) Raising Day celebrations today, where he will serve as the chief guest, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the BSF’s formation. During the visit, Shah will also inaugurate a statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Circuit House.

A grand parade will be held at the BSF’s STC Training Centre, with over 800 BSF personnel participating. The parade will feature diverse contingents from across the country, including a historic first-ever women’s contingent. A highlight of the rehearsal, conducted on Friday, was the impressive display of the BSF’s canine team, which demonstrated their skills in rescue operations. Additionally, the Gajraj team amazed the audience with their technical prowess, successfully assembling and disassembling vehicles in less than three minutes.

The event will also serve as an occasion to honor the sacrifices made by BSF martyrs, with a tribute to those who lost their lives in service. Awards will be presented to those who have displayed exceptional bravery and dedication in safeguarding the nation’s borders. Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Lok Sabha MP - Jodhpur, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Deputy CM Dr Prem Chand Bairwa will also attend the celebrations, joining the occasion to recognise the contributions of the BSF. Amit Shah’s visit highlights the government’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Border Security Force and acknowledging the crucial role it plays in protecting India’s borders. The event emphasizes the significance of the BSF’s service to the nation and reflects the importance of honoring the forces that safeguard national security.
