Man killed in encounter was wanted criminal: Raj Police

Jodhpur: The Jodhpur Police on Sunday clarified it’s stand over the encounter of wanted criminal Om Prakash. Jodhpur Rural SP Dharmendra Sagar while speaking to media persons said that accused Om Prakash was a rewarded criminal and even wanted by the Mumbai Police.

“One more accused, Kosla Ram, was injured during the police firing. Five country made pistols were recovered from the possession of the accused. A reward of Rs 50,000 was on Koslaram while a reward of Rs. 25,000 was on Omprakash. Allegations are being made on investigation in the encounter case. But, a high-level investigation is already going on. A ministerial inquiry is being done by SDM Baytu and all standard operating procedures are being followed,” said SP Dharmendra Sagar.
