Kota airport works gain momentum
Kota: The efforts for the construction of a new greenfield airport in Kota have gained momentum. Three consultants from Delhi and Chennai have completed the task of preparing three separate DPRs (Detailed Project Reports). After high-level supervision, a unified final DPR will be prepared. The airport in Kota is set to be the most technologically advanced in the state. Construction will include a water filtration plant and an STP (Sewage Treatment Plant). Stone from Dabi in Bundi and soil from Gamcha will be used in the construction of the airport. The airport will have the capacity of 20 lakh passengers per year. There is a proposal of a 4 lane 30-metre approach road to connect the airport with NH 52.
