Hearing held on CM Gehlot's plea
New Delhi: In the defamation case filed by Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, a hearing on Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s application was held in Rouse Avenue court on Monday. During the hearing, senior advocate Vikas Pahwa, appearing for Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, objected to Gehlot’s application, and said that Ashok Gehlot’s petition should be dismissed as there is no ground or basis for the petition. “The trial court summon cannot be challenged at this stage because the summons has been issued by the trial court only on the basis of a report of Delhi Police,” Vikas Argued. After hearing the arguments, Additional Sessions Judge MK Nagpal said that the order passed earlier, directing a magisterial court to refrain from passing the final order in the complaint until the next date of hearing, will continue till November 1.
