GS Shekhawat inaugurates 151-year-old Gulab Haveli Heritage Hotel in Mandawa
Mandawa (Jhunjhunu): Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat visited Mandawa on Thursday, where he was welcomed by BJP candidate from Jhunjhunu Rajendra Bhambu, Vijendra Singh Indrapura, and former MP Narendra Kumar Khichad.
The Minister inaugurated the historic Gulab Haveli Heritage Hotel, built between 1830- 1870, by lighting a lamp and cutting the ribbon. Shekhawat also honoured those involved in restoring the mansion with certificates.
During the event, Shekhawat shared his confidence that the BJP would win more than one seat in the upcoming by-elections. He added that this time, the party would create new history by increasing its seat count.
The Gulab Haveli, a prime example of Shekhawati’s renowned fresco art, has been transformed into a heritage hotel and is considered one of the region’s most beautifully painted mansions.
It has been mentioned in French author Ile Cooper’s book, The Painted Town of Shekhawati.
