Gehlot, Dotasra criticise BJP in Dausa, call for support in bypoll
Tonk/Dausa: In a show of unity, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra, and Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully launched their election campaign together in Dausa and Uniara on Friday. They attended a nomination rally for Congress candidate Deenadayal Bairwa, emphasizing solidarity within the party, especially in regions considered strongholds of the Pilot faction.
During the rally, MP Murarilal Meena addressed rumors of internal discord, asserting, “I am not dishonest,” while urging voters to support Bairwa. Former minister Raghu Sharma warned against divisive tactics from the BJP. Dotasra and Gehlot dismissed rumors of “match-fixing” in the elections, reaffirming their commitment to winning.
In Uniara, the campaign continued with strong speeches highlighting the failures of the BJP government, as leaders criticized its lack of development initiatives. Gehlot called for public support, emphasizing ongoing development projects in the region. The Congress aims to consolidate votes in bypolls.
