Gehlot announces Rs 10 lakh, a govt job after meeting victim in Dhariyawad
Pratapgarh: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday cancelled his visit to Gangapur City and reached Dhariyawad in Pratapgarh and met 21-year-old tribal woman, who was paraded naked, and her family. He said that such incidents and criminals involved in them have no place in a civilized society.
CM Gehlot said that these criminals will be given the strictest punishment by prosecuting them in the fast track court. CM Ashok Gehlot announced financial assistance of `10 lakh and a government job to the victim. He said that as soon as the incident came to the notice, ADG Crime was instructed to go to the spot and take strict action in this matter. In a video which went viral, the woman was disrobed and paraded in front of villagers by her husband after a family dispute.
