‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’: Plantation drive by JDA commences in Jodhpur

Jodhpur: The Jodhpur Development Authority, on Thursday, started plantation drive under the leadership of Commissioner Utsah Chaudhary, with the pledge of planting one lakh saplings in Jodhpur under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.
Chaudhary, along with other officers and employees of the authority, started the drive by planting saplings outside the authority office. Earlier, saplings were planted in Ashok Udyan of Jodhpur. A pledge was taken to protect the saplings. Tree plantation is being done in different phases. The campaign aims to increase the green cover in Rajasthan.
Plants like neem, gulmohar, alstonia, guava, jamun, etc. are being planted. A target of planting 4,000 saplings has been set in Ashok Udyan.
