DON’T KNOW WHY PM MODI DIDN’T DECLARE MANGARH A NATIONAL MONUMENT: GEHLOT

Udaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot on Monday targeted PM Narendra Modi for not announcing Mangarh Dham as a national monument during the latter’s visit to the area.

“PM Modi had come only after preparing to declare Mangarh Dham as a national monument. For this, he had already called our Chief Secretary and asked how much land would be required for this. I had also gone to make an announcement, but don’t know what was the reason that Modi ji could not declare Mangarh as a national monument. He only said that Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and MP should together decide what to do in the matter,” said Gehlot while addressing the 483rd birth anniversary celebrations of Maharana Pratap organised by Mewar Kshatriya Mahasabha and Municipal Corporation at Sukhadia Theater here.

CM Gehlot said when he was the Union Minister, the Mewar Complex Scheme was started to develop places related to Pratap. Regarding this, Gehlot told BJP State President CP Joshi, “You get the old file of Mewar Complex recovered from Delhi. Modi ji should think about this so that Mewar Complex can be presented in a new avatar in the coming times. The government may belong to any party, but this work can only be done by a government,” he said.
