CS inaugurates Rajasthan Pavilion at Pragati Maidan
New Delhi: Rajasthan Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant inaugurated the 14-day India International Trade Fair Rajasthan Pavilion, which began on Thursday at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The Rajasthan Pavilion has been given a new look and colour, in line with this year’s theme of the fair, “Developed India @ 2047.” As every year, Rajasthan Day will be celebrated on November 18 at the fair, featuring a colourful cultural evening organised by the Rajasthan Tourism Department. The evening will showcase world-famous Rajasthani artists performing traditional cultural acts.
During the inauguration, Sudhansh Pant highlighted that special arrangements have been made at the pavilion to ensure maximum participation for the upcoming “Rising Rajasthan Summit 2024.” The summit will provide an opportunity for businesspeople and visitors from India and abroad to learn about investment opportunities in Rajasthan and explore the state’s schemes. Pant commended the efforts to showcase Rajasthan’s progress, innovation, and cultural heritage in alignment with the fair’s theme.
On this occasion, Nagikya Gauhin, Managing Director of Rajasthan Small Industries Corporation (RIICO), said that the Rajasthan Pavilion at this year’s trade fair is hosting displays from RIICO, BIP, the Industries Department, Women and Child Development Department, Tourism Department, RUDA, and Rajasthan State Handloom Development Corporation.
Gauhin highlighted that the pavilion showcases Rajasthan’s worldrenowned products, offering visitors from Delhi and beyond a unique opportunity to explore them.
Dinesh Sethi, Director of the Rajasthan Pavilion, shared that 23 stalls feature Rajasthan’s famous handicrafts, textiles, quilts, lakh bangles, women’s makeup items, and Rajasthani food. The Tourism Department’s special display promoting the state’s tourism programmes has also garnered significant interest from visitors.
