Courses should be employment-oriented: Guv
Udaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra, while addressing the 31st convocation of Mohanlal Sukhadia University on Thursday, stressed on making school, college and university courses employment oriented based on entrepreneurship to help India become the third largest economy in the world by 2047. He said that more work should be done in higher education for youths so that they are able to provide jobs.
Mishra said that India is a leader in the field of startups and after studies the youths will have to develop the ability to become self-reliant.
Mishra stated that in the ancient Indian Gurukul education system, students were made proficient in all subjects.
“While discussing the all-round development of students, they were taught how to assimilate it into their lives. I would urge varsities to work in a manner that education received proves useful for the nation and society. Convocation is not the end of education but an opportunity for transition,” he said. V-C of Gujarat Central University, Prof Ramashankar Dubey also addressed the event. while V-C of MLSU, Prof. Sunita Mishra presented the report of the University.
