Cong govt should be repeated as it fulfilled guarantees: Kharge

Baran: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday praised the public welfare schemes of the Cong govt of Rajasthan.

Addressing a huge crowd in Baran, Kharge said that the Centre isn’t even giving MNREGA money to states for the poor. “The Cong govt has taken Raj forward in terms of economic, social, education and health. CM Ashok Gehlot has taken many steps for the poor. The Cong govt of Raj waived off loans worth Rs 16,000 cr of 21 lakh farmers,” he said.

Kharge said that the Raj govt gave guarantees and fulfilled them. “PM Modi had promised that he would provide two crore jobs every year and Rs 15 lakh, but did not give anything. PM Modi went back on his word, but CM Gehlot fulfilled all his promises,” Kharge said, further adding, “Caste census should be conducted. If there is a caste census then OBCs will get rights. Public is saying that Cong govt should come again in Raj. Thus, Congress leaders and workers will have to campaign door to door, because when Cong govt comes again in Raj, then in 2024 there will be Cong govt at Centre too.” “Min Pramod Bhaya was adamant to build Parvan Irrigation Project, which is a lifegiving for Kota, Bundi & Jhalawar, for which we provided Rs 14,000 cr, & foundation stone was laid by our leader Rahul Gandhiji,”said Gehlot.
