Coaching centres told to halt students’ routine tests
Kota: A day after 2 NEET aspirants committed suicide here, a senior officials of Rajasthan govt held a meeting with Kota collector and other officials through video conference.
Authorities have asked coaching institutes to stop conducting routine tests of students preparing for NEET and other competitive exams for next two months in wake of suicides by some aspirants.
Representatives of coaching institutes and hostel association also attended the meeting chaired by Bhawani Singh Detha, principal secretary (higher and technical education). Detha is also the chairman of a committee formed on the direction of CM Ashok Gehlot to look into the issue. The committee will also visit Kota soon.
