CM expresses gratitude to Modi for ERCP & Yamuna water agreement
New Delhi: While participating in the 9th meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog in New Delhi on Saturday, he said that with the initiative of the Prime Minister, the Central Government has fulfilled the dream of 3 crore 25 lakh people of 21 districts of the state by including the ERCP project in the River Linking Project and the long demand of providing water from Yamuna to the residents of Churu, Jhunjhunu and Sikar districts has been fulfilled. Along with this, to ensure water security in Rajasthan, a target has been set to provide water to 25 lakh houses by spending Rs 15 thousand crore this year under Jal Jeevan Mission, he said.
Including medical and health services in the priorities of the state government, the Chief Minister said that our government has made a provision of Rs 27 thousand 660 crore in the budget for expansion of medical facilities, which is 8.26 percent of the state budget. Similarly, ‘Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya Yojana’ has been started in the state from February 2024. The number of Jan Aushadhi Kendra has also been increased significantly so that medicines can be made accessible to the common man.
Highlighting the work being done by the government to increase the pace of development in Rajasthan, the Chief Minister said that our government has started operating primary classes in 134 government Swami Vivekananda model schools to strengthen school education and virtual online labs are being set up in 402 PM Shri schools.
