CM declares to upgrade Sikrai as Municipality, Paparda to a new Tehsil

Dausa: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday expressed surprise and was overwhelmed at the huge crowd that gathered to listen to him during a public meeting at Geejgarh in Dausa. Crowd estimation analysts are comparing the crowd with the recent public meeting of PM Narendra Modi in Dhanawad.

Gehlot inspected the Mehangai Rahat Camps and in his address, the CM repeated many times that he has not seen such a public meeting till date. He congratulated Women and Child Development Minister Mamta Bhupesh. He was so impressed with the meeting that on the demand of Mamta Bhupesh, it was announced to upgrade Sikrai to Municipality, Paparda to Tehsil and four schools including Geejgarh to senior level.

CM Gehlot once again surrounded the Centre on ERCP and said that this is the lifeline of East Rajasthan, yet the Prime Minister is not ready to do anything on it. “People of 13 districts of eastern Rajasthan should demand answers from BJP MPs and MLAs as to why the Centre is not saying anything on ERCP. If the public will create pressure then definitely PM Modi will have to declare it as a national project,” he said.

Ministers Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya, Pramod Jain Bhaya, PL Meena and GS Dotasra reached the meeting in a helicopter with CM Ashok Gehlot.
