Birla distributes sewing machines to 300 women

Kota: Aanya Foundation’s recent initiative has taken a significant stride in empowering women in Kota.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla distributed sewing machines to 300 women, who were trained at ‘Skill Up Kota programme,’ marking a step towards their economic independence.

The event took place at Chhappan Bhog Complex, where Birla emphasised the importance of women’s selfreliance in shaping the region of Kota-Bundi.

Birla praised women for their dedication, compassion, and service-oriented nature, highlighting their pivotal role in families. The Lok Sabha Speaker stressed that empowering women is vital for both individual growth and the development of the country.

Vishwas Jain, the Managing Director of Consulting Engineers Group Limited, lauded the foundation’s contribution towards women’s empowerment.

Akanksha Birla from Aanya Foundation expressed gratitude, framing the initiative as a pathway to financial freedom for women.

After the programme, women tied ‘Rakhi’ on Birla’s wrist & celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan, which signifies a strong bond between brothers & sisters.
