Bikaner police cracks down on criminals, several arrested
Bikaner/Sri Ganganagar: In a major raid campaign against criminals, the 240 teams of district police raided 489 places and arrested 200 wanted criminals.
About 1 quintal of doda poppy, 2 kg ganja, Rs 10,000 worth intoxicating tablets, 895gm opium, Rs 62,000 cash, 157-litre of country-liquor, 1 country-made pistol, one gun, and 33 cartridges were recovered, while 35 vehicles and 19 mobile phones were seized from the different spots. The raids against criminals across the district were conducted on the instructions of SP Parish Deshmukh. In a similar strike in the Bikaner division, 677 arrests were made under the supervision of Bikaner SP Tejaswani Gautam’s campaign ‘Savdhaan’. About Rs 10 lakh worth of intoxicating material used for drug trafficking was seized in Churu.
