ASI in Kota nabbed taking bribe of Rs 20K in lieu of settling case

Bundi: The ACB Kota team on Friday trapped ASI Devendra Dixit of Taleda police station red-handed with a bribe amount of Rs 20,000. The bribe was sought in lieu of settling a police case between the complainant Ashok Meena and another person Dhanraj Meena.

Dhanraj had filed a case against Ashok Meena in Taleda police station regarding a land dispute in Blop village. They reached an agreement and to close the case, the accused ASI sought Rs 50,000 bribe from Ashok who offered to pay only Rs 20,000 but the accused remained adamant and deal was finalised on Rs 40,000. Ashok filed a complaint with the ACB and the trap was carried out.
