18-year-old tiger in Abheda Biological Park dies

Kota: An 18-year-old tiger in Abheda Biological Park died on Friday. It was cremated as per the protocol after a post-mortem. The tiger was brought to Kota from Nahargarh Biological Park in Jaipur on March 1 last year. Generally, the age of a tiger living in a biological park or zoo is 15 years.

Deputy Forest Conservator Anurag Bhatnagar said that the tiger was in the display area at 6:15 pm on Thursday. There was no movement of its hind part. It took rounds and fell down. Veterinarians & other officials were informed about it.

Senior veterinary officer Dr Vilas Rao Gulhane gave medicine to the tiger, but there was no improvement in its condition and the tiger breathed its last at 6:30 am.
