TUNES OF GOLDEN SAND DUNES!

Bikaner Camel Festival is a colourful festival organised every year in Bikaner by the Department of Tourism, Art and Culture. The festival is celebrated in honour of the ‘Ship of the Desert’, the Camel, which began on Friday and concluded on Sunday. The event included spectacular camel performances like camel dances, camel races etc. The festivities started with a colourful parade of beautifully adorned camels dressed in vibrant bridles, traditional necklaces and heavy anklets showing off wonderful footwork to the lovely tunes on desert sands. City First interacted with the winners of the International Camel festival about their experience.

Ravindra Joshi, Mr Bikana said that he is a folk artist and after much hard work and dedication, he has been awarded the title of Mr Bikana 2023, he said “I am really grateful for this golden moment of my life, I became Mr Bikana 2023, for which I want to thank my father-in-law, folk artist Kanhaiyalal Ranga for his guidance and district administration, tourism department and friends for their support”.

Komal Sidh, Miss Marwan said “I am extremely grateful for this opportunity, I have been following fashion trends since my childhood and winning this title was m y dream. I have always been confident in front of the camera and I think that is exactly what has led me towards this field.

Currently, I am working in the education sector in Directorate, Bikaner but I always wanted to walk the ramp and it is like a hobby that has turned into a passion now.”
