Aayushi Dholakia is a name that resonates with beauty, confidence, and perseverance. Aayushi made history by becoming the first Indian to win the Miss Teen International crown in the pageant’s 27-year history. The beauty was crowned Miss Teen International 2019 on December 19, in New Delhi, competing against 20 other contestants from around the globe.

In an exclusive interview with City First, Aayushi shares the story of her journey, the support of her family, and her passion for the entertainment industry. “My dad is a doctor, and my mom is a fashion designer. I have got the best of both worlds as I have a completely academic background while also getting a hint of the world of performing arts. My parents never confined me to focus on one particular field and never wanted me to pursue a medical degree. They have always supported and taught me to do what I love and go for the career that I want to pursue, which is best for my future.”

Reflecting on her journey, Aayushi says, “The entire pageant journey was quite enriching, and my journey after winning Miss Teen International has been more eventful because I got to discover and explore the other possibilities I have in life. I have started getting into acting, hosting, and broadcasting. Aayushi conveyed her deepest appreciation and gratitude towards the esteemed Glamanand Group, led by the visionary Nikhil Anand and Jagdeesh Chandra, for bestowing upon her the exceptional opportunity to flaunt her proficiency as a host and display her innate talents with elegance and finesse. Their unwavering support and guidance throughout her remarkable journey have undoubtedly played a pivotal role in shaping her career and realizing her dreams.

Aayushi’s source of inspiration and role model is the former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen. “I look up to her not only because she made our country proud by winning the Miss Universe title, but also admire how empowered she is. She is a woman of her word and does what she says. She is a genuine personality. It is really inspiring how she manages her family and work, and striking the right balance is something we can learn from her.”

Aayushi’s motto in life is “FOOD,” where F stands for focus, O for optimism, the second O for observation, and D for discipline. “Discipline and determination are what you need in life to achieve great success. So this is my ‘FOOD’ formula.”
