For Jasmel, simple is beautiful

Our eyes to the world are the people that makeup today’s dynamic photographic community. They enlighten us, inspire us, astound us, and place our reality in the larger framework of history, whether they are established artists and journalists or enthusiastic rising voices.

City First introduces you to Jasmel Singh, a skilled photographer who can distil the beauty from mayhem that surrounds us by sorting all of the world’s mess into photos.

  • Tell us something about yourself

I was born and raised in Punjab, but I now work in Lucknow. I’m a digital artist and professional photographer. Fashion and wedding photography are two of my specialities.

  • How did your journey begin?

Since the beginning, I’ve had a passion for photography. I used to take photographs of my friends as a pastime, but that hobby turned into a passion, and the passion turned into a career. In 2017, I began taking photography lessons in order to transform my hobby into a career. I put forth a lot of effort to develop my photographic abilities.

  • What were some of the battles you fought and are still fighting in your journey?

One thing that every photographer goes through is purchasing his or her own camera, which is something that occurred to me as well. You know, in our society, photography is not seen as a very excellent job, so convincing my family of my enthusiasm was a challenging task. But then, without informing my parents, I bought my first camera, and after that, I continued to save and bought some accessories. But now that I’ve proven myself, even my family is proud of what I’ve accomplished.

  • Talk to us about your achievements?

As I previously stated, I am a huge fan of fashion photography, and many models now working in the film business use the portfolio I shot and prepared for them. One thing I can guarantee is that after working with me, you will fall in love with my work. The most essential thing is that my greatest success is client happiness!

  • Where do you see yourself after 5 years?

I hope to advance within my stream and continue to learn and grow in this industry
