World Bank-funded projects discussed in meet
Jaipur: Discussion regarding projects funded by the World Bank were held here in a meeting of the forest department and the world bank officials.
PCCF HoFF Dr DN Pandey chaired the meeting which was attended by world bank’s lead environmental specialist Gayane Minasyan, senior environmental specialist Anupam Joshi, forestry expert M Macdona, team administration Neetika and others.
Discussion about the projects worth more than Rs 1,000 crore were held in the meeting.
During the Jaipur visit, the world bank team also went for leopard safari in Jhalana.
DFO Bala Murugan, ACF Raghuveer Meena, ranger Janeshwar Chaudhary were also present during the safari. In terms of numbers, Jhalana Leopard Reserve has the highest density of leopards in the world. There are more than 90 per cent chances of leopard sightings here. There are almost 2 leopards for every square kilometer.
