Women significantly contribute to our lives: CM
Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasised the pivotal role of women in society during a virtual address at the Rajasthan International Centre on International Women’s Day. Sharma pledged the state government’s unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He inaugurated various schemes and vehicles and welcomed the Central Government’s decision to reduce domestic gas cylinder prices by Rs 100. Highlighting initiatives for women’s upliftment, Sharma announced increased benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandan Yojana, the launch of MAA Voucher Scheme, and a 10% raise in honorarium for Anganwadi workers. He also outlined measures for women’s safety, including AntiRomeo squads, women’s desks in police stns, and self-defence training. Sharma confirms state commitment to PM’s resolutions, citing laws like Nari Shakti Vandan Act & impactful schemes.
