When Indira Gandhi could lose election, Modi ji should not have illusion: Gehlot

Jaipur: In a super exclusive interview with First India News on Friday, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot claimed that in his experience all work is stopped when BJP government comes to power.

“Refinery was stopped and everyone kept watching. This time the government will repeat, the people are Mai-Baap. This time the public’s mood is to repeat the government.

Our government has prepared a vision for the people of the state. We changed the image of Rajasthan, all the decisions were taken in our time. We are number-1 in education health, right to health law has been made. The responsibility of every family should be on the government. Rajasthan is on top in North India. Rajasthan has reserves of mines and minerals. We will not stop here, there is a limit to government jobs. Youth will not have to go out in the coming times. Youth, women, laborers, we will listen to people of all classes. BJP had also stopped the work of Metro. Now we will start its work next month while continuous work is going on our state highway and mega highway. The work of widening the roads is going on,” Gehlot said.

The CM said that he spoke to 200 MLAs and took suggestions from all. “Vision-2030 suggestions are sought from all. Vasundhara Raje’s name used to come when someone spoke of vision in Rajasthan. Our name was not known in that aspect and now I am giving state’s vision.

There is unity in our party. They are boasting, Congress government will be formed in all the three states. Atmosphere is changing in nation as ED, CBI working on centre’s behest and public knows it. No matter how much they scare us, we are not afraid, we welcome them. We challenge them to take action, but do it honestly,” he said, further adding, “What should be the long term vision in? I never said that I will be the CM. Our goal is to reach the vision, we have many schemes. Rajasthan is being praised all over the world. We made law for delivery boy, which was praised. We stand with the people.”

Gehlot said that, public believes the words of PM. “He closed the refinery, I didn’t stop his work. I am taking his work forward, Vasundhara ji told something else to the PM. Union Mins are doing scams. MP has built its own dams while Raj govt had given NOC. These people cheat public. I always sit in PM’s meeting. Does the State’s CM not have the right to speak for 2 minutes? Still we welcome him, I understand the dignity of PM’s post. Earlier, when President used to go on visits, he used to take advice of States. Nowadays, everyone visits according to their own,” he said.

Reflecting on unity in Cong, CM said, “The High Command takes a decision, everyone obeys it. Everyone is united. There is discipline in party, democracy is in danger. Journos are being accused. If you raise your voice, action will be taken against you. Indira Gandhi kept the nation united. ISRO was founded by her. These people have forgotten all, their name is in history. These people want to erase her name. How will the future generation remember you? These people are playing a very dangerous game. Indira Gandhi herself had lost the polls. No one should have this illusion, even Modi ji shouldn’t have it.”
