Wednesday fest shines with 371 properties sold
Jaipur: The popular “Wednesday auction festival” scheme of Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) is still shining bright. In the last two weeks, a total of 371 residential and 3 commercial properties were sold under the Wednesday auction festival scheme, earning the Board a revenue of about Rs 34.74 crore.
RHB Commissioner Pawan Arora said that the Wednesday auction festival scheme was started to sell about 20 thousand unsold surplus houses of the Housing Board, in which the scheme “Give 10% & enter the house” was also included. “Under this, bid/ auction proposal can be submitted online every Monday from 10 am to 4 pm by visiting the help desk of all the offices of RHB, sitting at home or through e-mitra. 216 residential properties were sold last week and 155 in this week in the e-bid submission held on Wednesday. The faith of the common people towards the Housing Board is getting stronger day by day. This is the reason that a total of 371 houses were sold in two weeks,” Arora said.
He added that the EMD amount of the unsuccessful applicants will be returned without any application in just 72 hours.
