Urban infrastructure is our top-priority, says CM Bhajan Lal Sharma in UDH review meeting

Jaipur: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasized the state govt’s commitment to implementing development projects in urban areas. He highlighted focus on infrastructure improvements, including water, electricity, & roads, during a review meeting of the UDH and LSG Department. Sharma urged utilization of urban assets to increase revenue & improve UD tax collection.

The PM e-Bus Service, aimed at reducing urban pollution, will soon deploy 500 e-buses across eight cities in Rajasthan. Sharma also instructed officials to expedite approvals for remaining houses under the PM Awas Yojana (Urban) and to ensure timely completion of joint-funded projects. He reported significant progress in housing, with over 30,000 houses approved and 13,175 completed under the PM Awas Yojana (Urban). Additionally, a solid waste processing plant will be established in 106 urban bodies, and Pink toilets will be constructed in 27 urban bodies. Sharma reviewed JDA projects, directing acceleration of road construction and planning of parking in SMS Hosp IPD tower.
