Under Gehlot’s ‘vigilance’, nearly 80% budget ‘promises’ delivered thus far!

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given a big message to the bureaucracy and common people through a meeting held in the secretariat of budget announcement implementation. In this meeting held after the political drama, he indicated that the budget would come by the end of January or by the beginning of February. On the other hand, with the indication given by the CM, there is hope again regarding the formation of new districts. CM Gehlot took the report card of the budget announcements of depts through a meet in secretariat.

The government’s What is report card states that out of the 379 budget announcements made in 2019-20, 275 announcements have been completed while 95 announcements are in progress. In 2021-22, 951 budget announcements were made of which 405 announcements have been completed and 420 are in progress. The year 2022-23 witnessed the State Government announcing a whopping 1,029 budget announcements of which 293 announcements have been completed and 230 are in progress. Describing the performance of 89% budget announcements as satisfactory, the CM also lauded Raj bureaucracy. In response to a question, saying that the next budget will be focused on youth, CM also indicated that the next budget will be announced in January or beginning of February
