Tunnel found in Jpr Sessions’ court jail with 4 feet deep pit

Jaipur: The tunnel was found in the prisoner lockup of the Sessions Court of Jaipur on Monday. A four feet deep pit was dug from under the wall. On the information of the court administration, the Sadar police station reached the spot. Police and court administration are probing the matter. It is believed that the tunnel was dug for the hardcore prisoners to escape. SHO Prithvipal Singh said that the prisoner lock-up is under the Sessions Court. The prisoners are brought to the court in a bus from the jail. From this temporary jail, the prisoners are taken to the court when their number comes. The lock-up was checked before the detainees were brought in at 8 am on Monday. While cleaning the lockup, the constable noticed a pit near the wall. After removing the stone and checking the pit with a stick, a about four feet deep pit was found. Police immediately got the lock-up repaired and the pit closed.
