Travel on NH roads gets costlier as authorities increase toll rates
Jaipur: Travelling on National Highways got dearer from Sunday midnight as toll rates have been increased from Rs 10 to Rs 30. Toll rates for cars, jeeps and other LMVs have been increased by Rs 10, trucks, buses by Rs 20 and heavy vehicles by Rs 30. The proposal has been approved by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
There are a total of 95 toll plazas operated at National Highways in the state. Rates have been increased at more than 30 toll plazas, including Rajgarh to Haryana border and the well traversed Jaipur Ring Road.
Toll rates at some toll plazas are set to increase from July 1 and September 1 respectively.
With this hike in toll amount, going from Jaipur to Sikar and Tonk will become expensive.
However, toll rates on Jaipur-Agra, Jaipur-Delhi and Jaipur-Ajmer bypass have not been increased. Toll rates on these bypasses are said to increase from June and July.
