Transport dept okays new suburban routes in Raj
Jaipur: The Department of Transport has approved new suburban routes in 34 districts of the state. In Jaipur, the new suburban route has been approved from Hirapura Bus Stand to Shahpura Bus Stand via 200-feet road, Daulatpura bus stand and Chandwaji Pulia. It is to be mentioned that focus has been kept on opening suburban routes in VIP areas, while essential routes have been overlooked. The Transport Department’s new suburban routes have sparked controversy. While over 100-kilometerlong suburban routes have been opened in areas of prominent public representatives, critical routes have been ignored.
Surprisingly, no suburban route has been opened between Jaipur and Khatu Shyam, despite the fact that lakhs of passengers travel on this route regularly. Similarly, the JaipurDausa suburban route has also been left out.
