Ten teams formed to take care of migratory birds at Sambhar Lake
Jaipur: The executive body meeting of Sambhar Lake Management Agency was held on Thursday where they discussed conservation, promotion and integrated management of the lake. Ten teams will take care of migratory birds.
There is an alert for avian botulism till March as the disease has so far claimed around 1300 birds. Sambhar Lake Management Agency Chief Executive Officer Bijo Joy presided over the meeting. In the meeting, it was proposed to sanction Rs 60 lakhs in view of the outbreak of the disease to purchase equipment, including ICU.
Doctor from Animal Husbandry Department Dr Tapesh Mathur, Deputy Forest Conservator Ajmer, Nagaur, Addl Dist Collector Ajmer, Kuchaman, representative of the Department of Self Government, officials of Sambhar Salt, Mines Department, and others also joined the meeting through VC.
