Telangana Foundation Day celebrated at Raj Bhavan
Jaipur: The foundation day of Telangana state was celebrated at Raj Bhavan on Sunday. Governor Kalraj Mishra, while extending greetings and best wishes on this occasion, met the local people of Telangana and also interacted with them.
Discussing the history of Telangana, Mishra described this state as rich in tourism as well. “The word Telangana was used by the Nizams to differentiate it from the Marathi speaking areas of their state. Telangana is a historically very rich state. Hyderabad is the largest and most populous city of Telangana and it is the main urban center of south-central interior India,” he said.
Mishra also appreciated the efforts of innovation and entrepreneurship in the young state of Telangana and wished for its progressive development.
“The spirit behind celebrating the foundation day of the states at Raj Bhavan is that we can all connect with the thinking of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. Despite the diversity of language, lifestyle and food habits in different states, we still have a sense of unity. This is what creates harmony,” he said.
