Such events will foster spirit of sports in society: Diya
Jaipur: Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari inaugurated the newly constructed astro turf football field at Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium and the 29th Senior Women’s Football National Championship - Rajmata Jijabai Trophy 2024-25 on Sunday. The championship was organized under the aegis of Rajasthan Football Association from October 6 to17.
Diya Kumari said that she aspires to develop Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium as a sports hub and a world class stadium, which is now recognized by FIFA. “Such events will promote the spirit of sports in our society and provide a platform to young players,” she said.
Eight teams from all over the country are participating in this competition and 12 matches will be held. The opening match of competition will be between Rajasthan & Chhattisgarh.
