State integrated cancer task force formed
Jaipur: To enhance cancer related health services and coordination, the state government has established a State Integrated Cancer Task Force. Chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary of Medical and Health, this task force includes members such as the Director of the NHM, the Medical Education Commissioner, the Superintendent of State Cancer Institute in Jaipur, the head of Tertiary Cancer Care Center in Bikaner, and State Nodal Officer for the National Program for NonCommunicable Diseases.
The task force will strategize cancer diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and awareness. It will review and amend cancer care policies and enhance coordination among departments, NGOs, and stakeholders for improved patient care and awareness. Initially, task force will meet monthly, transitioning to quarterly meetings, with additional meetings as needed.
