State government determined for devp and expansion of pilgrimage sites, says Gehlot
Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot said that ‘Senior Citizens Pilgrimage Scheme’ was launched in Aug, 2013. At that time, 41,390 pilgrims visited various places, while only 47,742 pilgrims were taken on pilgrimage by the previous govt from 2013 to 2018. “We took it further by adding new pilgrimage sites. There is immense enthusiasm among elderly regarding the pilgrimage, he said while addressing devotees of Dudu going for Katra Maa Vaishno Devi Yatra from Gandhi Nagar Railway Station, via VC from CMR. He said that state govt is determined for development & expansion of pilgrimage sites. A grand corridor will be built in Jaipur’s Govind Dev Ji Temple at a cost of Rs 100 cr & Khatushyamji Temple at a cost of Rs 32 crore.
