Spl cleanliness drive at Jhalana Leopard Reserve
Jaipur: A special cleaning campaign was conducted in Jhalana Leopard Reserve on Sunday on the instructions of ACF Surendra Sharma. Under the supervision of forester Krishna Kumar Meena, Jhalana staff, volunteers and gypsy drivers started the cleaning campaign from the entrance to Kalka Mata Temple and on route number one and two.
Plastic waste, glass bottles and other waste items were collected. “Cleanliness campaign will be conducted every Sunday. Complaints were received that some tourists carry beer cans and bottles with them. There will be regular checking of gypsies and tourists will not be allowed to take any plastic, glass items, gutkha, beedi and cigarettes. The activities of the devotees will also be monitored as in the name of going to the temple, some people reach the forest area and indulge in unruly activities,” he said.
