Speaker Vasudev Devnani miffed at LoP Tikaram Jully’s ‘Dhritarashtra’ remark
Jaipur: Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani got furious after Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully used the word ‘Dhritarashtra’ during the assembly proceedings on Friday.
Speaker Devnani said that he has always been impartial. “Rules are followed in functioning of House. You must apologise for useing ‘Dhritarashtra’. If you think I am not fair, then you can bring a proposal. I have no attachment to the position. I will follow rules and traditions,” he said. During Zero Hour, the LoP raised the issue of the uproar during the reply to the grant demands on Thursday and conduct of ministers. Jully said, “Speaker, your inclination should be towards opposition, but your inclination is towards ruling party.” On this, Speaker said, “Will you call Chair Dhritarashtra? After this, Jully apologized.
