SI recruitment 2021 paper leak: 12 accused sent on 4-day remand
Jaipur: Chief Metropolitan Magistrate II has sent 11 trainee SIs and a constable, arrested in a paper leak case related to SI Recruitment 2021, in four-day police remand. Besides this, the court asked SOG to get their medical examination done from SMS Medical Board and get it done every 24 hours during the police custody.
The SOG had sought their remand for 12 days for further questioning, including money transactions. The defence lawyers, however, said that the SOG should give reasons for seeking remand for 12 days. They said that the accused were not given notice under Section 41A of CrPC before the arrests were made.
During the hearing, some of the accused, including a woman, alleged harassment by the SOG. It was said on behalf of these accused persons that the officers of the SOG beat them up before interrogating them. They are not given food and water on time and are not even allowed to sleep. They also accused the SOG officers of torturing and harassing them mentally.
