Issues like cybercrime, inter-state and crossborder drug trade and creating a joint workforce, Developing a system of mutual exchange of information, speeding up the probe of cases of rape of women & children will be discussed in the meeting. The Union Home Minister is the Chairman of the Council.

CMs/LGs of Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal, Punjab, Delhi, Chandigarh, J&K, Ladakh will participate in meeting. The meeting is considered crucial for Rajasthan as Shah and CM Ashok Gehlot will discuss several issues. CM Gehlot is likely to raise issues related to power, coal supply and mining with the Union Home Minister. He is also likely to raise the demand of national project status to the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) from the Centre in order to solve the water problem of 13 districts. BJP’s state president Satish Poonia said that Shah is coming for an administrative event and would come for tea with the leaders at the party office. There is no special meeting and will formally talk with the party leaders. Political circles are, however, abuzz after the changes in Maharashtra.
