Sentence of all 30 accused suspended by High Court
Jaipur: Rajasthan high court has suspended the punishment of all 30 persons involved in Phool Mohammad murder case of Sawai Madhopur. A division bench of Justice Pankaj Bhandari and Justice Bhuvan Goyal suspended life imprisonment of Banwari Lal Meena, Ramcharan Meena, Yogendranath, Mahendra Singh Tanwar, Hanuman Meena, Prithviraj Meena and others.
The bench gave orders on application for postponement of sentence.
The incident took place on March 17, 2011 in Mantown police station area of Sawai Madhopur where police inspector Phool Mohammad was burnt alive by a mob.
The SC-ST court of Sawai Madhopur had awarded life imprisonment to the accused in November last year.
