Sariska tiger tally reaches 33 with ST-12’s 3 cubs
Alwar/Jaipur: Tigress ST 12 from Sariska Tiger Reserve has once again given birth to 3 cubs. Before this, three cubs each were born in 2018 and 2021. In this way a single tigress has given birth to 9 tigers in 5 years. Tigress ST-12 has been seen with her three cubs in Talvriksha range. After this, there are now a total of 33 tigers in Sariska of which there are 11 tigers, 14 tigresses and 8 cubs.
Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma said, “Tigress ST has given birth to 3 cubs in Talvriksha range. The cubs appear to be more than one and a half months old. But now the number of tigers has increased in Talvriksha range also.
The pictures of the new cub and the tigress have been received by the Sariska administration through a camera trap.”
On this occasion CM Bhajanlal Sharma posted on social media platform and said, “Nature’s unique heritage, tigers, are essential for a favorable ecosystem. Our government is committed to the conservation and promotion of the ‘national animal’ tiger, a symbol of strength, beauty and strength.”
The chief minister stressed that the “existence of tigers, a unique heritage of nature, is extremely important for the ecosystem”.
