Sam Pitroda row: Ghanshyam Tiwari corners Cong
Jaipur: Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Ghanshyam Tiwari on Thursday condemned racist statement made by former Overseas Congress President Sam Pitroda on North East & South Indians.
“The basic difference between BJP and Congress is that BJP considers India as one nation whereas Congress considers India as a group of different nations,” Tiwari said while addressing a press conference at the BJP state headquarters. He said that after the establishment of BJP, Atal Bihari Vajpayee had told through Panch Nishthas in Mumbai’s Shivaji Park that BJP is a party that believes in the motto of “one people, one nation and one culture”.
“Just as Congress has been doing politics of religion, caste and region in the country, in the same way it has also started doing racial politics. The statement of Sam Pitroda, the think tank of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, matches the ideology and policy of the Congress Party,” he said.
