Saffron party rejects caste-based vote division argument
Jaipur: The Rajasthan BJP, which lost 11 seats in the LS polls, may consider the division of votes along caste lines as the reason for its defeat on these seats, but the central leadership of the party doesn’t accept this argument. The reason for this is that voters were observed mobilising in favour of candidates irrespective of caste in many constituencies. Central leaders attribute defeat on 11 Rajasthan seats to poor election management.
Now, with upcoming elections on five assembly seats in the State, the BJP is preparing a strategy to delegate the management of elections to prominent leaders on each seat. A notable aspect of these by-elections will be the active participation of several central leaders, including State President CP Joshi, who himself contested in the Lok Sabha elections.
