RU students create ruckus during syndicate meeting, police nab 16
Jaipur: Police used mild force 3-4 times to disperse students who were creating ruckus at Rajasthan university in Jaipur during the syndicate meeting on Wednesday. 16 persons have been detained in connection with the ruckus, police said. The students gathered outside the Vice Chancellor secretariat during the meeting and created ruckus following which the police used mild force to disperse them.
ABVP members Manu Dadhich, Bharat Bhushan and others marched towards the VC secretariat to protest. Police had already placed barricades to stop them but they removed the barricades and started moving towards the VC secretariat.
Along with ABVP members, NSUI’s Mahesh Chaudhary and Rajnedra Gora and other students also moved towards the VC secretariat.
To control the situation, the police cane charged and prevented the students from moving ahead.
In police action, Rajendra Gora has received injuries. The police have detained 16 persons in connection with the ruckus. Additional policemen were also deployed in the university to maintain law and order.
