Rising prospects of CM from general category in Rajasthan

Jaipur: Following appointment of new CMs in 2 states, BJP is gearing up to surprise in Rajasthan by nominating an unexpected candidate. With a tribal leader assuming the CM role in Chhattisgarh and an OBC representative in MP, the likelihood increases for a Chief Minister from the general category to emerge in Rajasthan. If a leader from the general category does not become the CM, then the crown can be placed on the head of a Dalit leader.

Examining the BJP’s approach in two states towards forming the new government, they’ve chosen a fresh face affiliated with the Sangh Parivar as CM, selected from among the MLAs. In such a situation, it has to be seen whether the new face of the CM emerges from among the MLAs or some other surprising name comes from outside. In MP and Chhattisgarh, along with CM, names of two Deputy CMs and the Speaker have also been announced. The caste equations have been handled very well in these four names. Naturally, it seems that same BJP formula will be seen in formation of the new govt in Rajasthan too.
