RHB to plant over 90,000 plants before monsoon season across Raj
Jaipur: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) Commissioner Pawan Arora directed the officials to take a pledge to plant more than 90 thousand trees and plants till the next monsoon in various housing schemes going on across the state including Jaipur.
Arora said this important thing on Monday during the review meeting related to plantation at ‘Awas Bhawan’, the headquarters of the Housing Board. He also directed the officers to issue all tenders related to plantation by June 15 and work orders by June 25 to 30. He also gave strict instructions to the officials to complete the plantation work before the month of August.
Arora said that till the next monsoon, more than 20 thousand trees and plants will be planted in the city park which has become the lifeline of Jaipur. “Similarly, a green corridor will be made by planting more than 15,000 trees with the help of Miyawaki technique near the railway line on Ganga Marg located in Indira Gandhi Nagar. The work of plantation will be done on a large scale in all the residential schemes of state till the month of July.
