"Ready to fight the war": Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore after BJP fields him for Rajasthan polls
Jaipur: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Monday said that his party is ready to fight the 'war' and will leave no stone unturned for winning the Rajasthan assembly elections scheduled to be held on November 23.
Rathore, an MP from Jaipur Rural has been named as the party candidate from Jaipur's Jhotwara seat in the first list of 41 candidates for the upcoming Assembly polls.
Speaking to ANI, Rathore thanked the top leadership of the party for fielding him in the assembly polls of Rajasthan.
"A new zeal comes among the workers that a few people who used to work with PM Modi and who PM Modi has seen carefully are being fielded in the Vidhan Sabha election. We are ready to fight a war, we will leave no seat, no morcha. This is a good message...This is a battle for this country. I am thankful that the BJP workers and PM Modi believed that I would be able to replicate the kind of work that I did as an MP, in Vidhan Sabha. A major change is required in Rajasthan..." Rathore, the former union minister said.
On being asked about the party's CM face for the upcoming Rajasthan election, BJP leader Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said that the politics of report card takes place within the party.
"The most important thing is for a team to work in such a manner that can do politics of development in Rajasthan and bring a change. The 'politics of face' that happened in the last 5 years has ruined Rajasthan...Report Card politics takes place in BJP - not dynasty but report card..." the BJP leader added.
Rathore also said that the BJP will contest the elections on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's face and will deliver good governance.
"We will bring governance in Rajasthan in line with PM Modi's image. We will have zero tolerance on terrorism, appeasement and corruption," he told reporters.
